Public Works Software
Service Requests
Service Requests or Work Requests are requests for work either by staff or the public. Requests for services can be assigned for review, evaluated and prioritized. Requests can be elevated to Work Orders, assigned and scheduled to departments / staff throughout a municipality. Staff can be assigned and assets, such as vehicles and equipment can be assigned to the task. Hours related to a request can be noted as can materials used. The disposition of the request is noted as completed or requiring further work. The initial requester, either town staff or citizens, can be kept informed automatically through emails at each of the various stages of the workflow, or through template generated mail pieces.
Fleet Management
Manage vehicle records, repairs, routine maintenance based on mileage/ date or age of the vehicle.
Day Sheets
A worker’s daily work assignments are organized and scheduled with this application. Teams, equipment, tasks, and locations are specified and assigned. Often used by Public Works departments to create daily assignments on fast-moving town needs, the app can also be applied to recreation and police departments, inspectors, etc. As a person is assigned to a team or task, that person deleted from the available pool. The app can be integrated with time sheets, schedules, PTO availability, equipment, task lists and staff capability lists.
Catch Basin Maintenance
The Catch Basin Maintenance app allows for workflow management of required cleanings and repair, and the creation of specific reporting describing the work performed.
Street Opening Permit
One of our most beloved apps, the Street Opening app manages the application, approval, inspection and bonding steps involved in protecting a town’s most valuable asset, paved roadways. Frequent applicants are offered access to a portal where, by logging in, most of the Street Opening application is pre-filled. Online, applicants draw a sketch of proposed openings. Billing can be automated as a monthly process or online payments accepted. Roads under opening moratoriums can be included to automatically deny applications of certain types and openings meeting certain parameters defined by you can be automatically approved.
Leaf Removal
The Leaf Removal app tracks the progress of the DPW leaf removal operations. The street data is entered and scheduled leaf removal dates are entered. When the actual leaf removal work is complete the completed date is entered for each street and pickup round. A public portal is used to display the removal dates in the form of ‘Collection during the week of…’ by street. The public can search by street name, area or date via a calendar. If the schedule ‘slips’ from the original scheduled date the app adjusts future scheduled dates accordingly.
Snow Removal
The Snow Removal app allows Public Works management to control, monitor, and report on snow removal operations. The system is optimized to enable incredibly quick data entry to handle the flurry of radio calls made from the field. A map interface allows input of completed routes and displays type of pass (salt, plow, brine, etc.) as well as number of passes by color code. A drag-and-drop interface allows workers and equipment to be managed by area and crew. A public map displaying the event status can be displayed on the municipal website. The system API can integrate with GPS devices as well as FEMA reports. The app can be modified to manage leaf removal, street sweeping, or other route based operation.
Adopt-A-Spot Request
A simple app to allow the management of requests to allow groups or individuals to perform care-taking of public lands or ROW. It can be linked to the GIS and areas that the town wishes to highlight as needing a sponsor can be easily listed in town newsletters. This is a simple app, but it does manage a difficult process and it does point to the attractiveness of managing everything through Geo3.0.
